We have been staying at the Kacha Resort last week. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Bungalow by the pool is very clean and spacious and the daily attendance. The complex is in a good setting with lush vegetation and the beach. White sand beach is not the best beach on the island by any means, especially when compared with Lonely beach, but has a pleasant atmosphere at night.
The coast is very rocky on the front of the Kacha but you only have to walk 5 minutes or less to the north until you reach a section of sand. The complex has a restaurant thai standard western fare and some meals and barbecues in the evening for reasonable prices. The spa is not too terribly exciting, we had much better in other resorts spa treatments. For a good massage that is best for one on the beach at a fraction of the price.
Importantly, I note that today there is something wrong with the water in the pool. When we arrived a week ago I thought the water looked ever so slightly cloudy but did not give it much thought. Now, a week later, you can not see the bottom! Early this morning I saw one of the groundsmen wash the edge of the pool with a cloth, perhaps trying to rub some growth. I've seen several people looking askance at the water today and in comparison with yesterday, very few people are in the pool.
Three days after we arrived my wife had to go to the doctor with a bad pain in her ear. He was told he had an infection and now has to take antibiotics by mouth and through the ear-drops. The pain has only begun to address today and now can not swim for the rest of the holidays (which is a shame because we had plans for diving and other water-based). The doctor said this is caused by bacteria entering the ear during bathing in clean water.

I have no way of knowing if the pool of water caused the infection but do not spend much time in the pool during the early days, including a lot of splashing and dipping. To be fair, has also been swimming in the sea. However, now that the pool water is very murky, I think it is reasonable to assume that there is a link. I informed the staff at the reception problem. Seemed to be aware of an issue, but laughed it off as no problem.
There seems to be happening at a higher level of chlorine and water is so cloudy. Now, why is there need for extra chlorine? Especially such a high that you can not see the bottom of a deppth only 1.5 meters. At least, the guests should have been aware. Suggested staff should let people know, but I was assured once again no problem. As we are leaving tomorrow for another place, he asked me to pass my concern to management, who promised to do.

Therefore, if anyone is reading this with the intention of arriving at the Kacha soon and that this issue could affect the water, perhaps you should try to find out if the thing has been done in this regard.
