Read Siam Beach Resort Koh Chang Accommodations Reviews |

We were looking for somewhere special to go to celibrate our 60th birthdays/20th Anniversay and had begun to look in the Maldives, which soon proved to be prohibitively expensive. Two of our daughters suggests that we should go to the Siam Beach Resort in Koh Chang, as he had wanted when they had stayed there a couple of years ago.
We arrived late at night in the dark at the loveliest welcome. A table has been prepared for us on the beach, especially a table set with cloth of gold and a bottle of wine, with a card wishing us Happy Birthday / Anniversary. Since that time, the staff lovely, very attentive and friendly.
We woke the next morning to pick up from our balcony along the length of Lonely Beach - absoluely was perfect.
We had rented Hut Bungalows 11 between the sides - a beautiful wood cabin on spindly legs, with one bedroom (with air conditioning and comfortable beds), a separate room for shower / bath and a large balcony / deck where we could sling our hammocks .
We thought it was iydillic. We spent most of the holiday on the beach, swim or relax and read in our hammocks.
According to Thailand, the resort was a little Tatty around the edges and not pristinely clean by any means. As mentioned in other reviews, there was a certain amount of trash around the site and left over construction materials. This does not concern us all. We have found our beloved and charming resort and refuge, as realistically noted in one of the previous reviews, if you can not cope with a bit of trouble to go somewhere else, which is more healthy, less and less an adventure!

There are two ends of Lonely Beach - is the color of money back and hedonistic south end and the quiet, more peaceful order Siam Beach Resort, North. You can listen to music from the far south during the afternoon and evening, but no bother.
The restaurant interior provided excellent breakfast, including fresh fruit, eggs and bacon (the bacon was delicious).
Our dinner was taken on the beach with the sea a few meters away. The food was good, with a varied menu and barbecue. The prices were reasonable.
We explored a bit and went on two trips organized by the resort. First was a great boat trip around the islands in the gaily painted 'Buppa' visiting Koh Wai and Koh Mak. Secondly, the absolute hightlight of our holiday was an Elephant Trek, where we ended up swimming with 36 years of age, pregnant elephant! Lonely Beach is really beautiful and it was fun to walk in the village, finding stores thailand fisherman pants and bags of colors and have a drink at the Tree House in the walk at home. The within Thailand and oil massages were too beautiful, but I think the massage oil is probably the least pummelling!
This is a wonderful place to have a good holiday, if you are willing to rough it a bit. The Resort is also hosting more important, but simply our beloved wooden hut. |
